Many of the software products, websites, and mobile apps we develop are public-facing. It is only natural that a campaign to promote these products is necessary for informing the public that these products and resources exist. We are dedicated to providing our sponsors with full-scale, customized campaigns from branding to media buying.

Alabama Identity Protection Program // Marketing Campaign

In 2015, the Alabama Department of Revenue increased security measures to protect Alabamians and the state from identity theft and tax fraud by implementing the Alabama Taxpayer Identity Protection Program. This program required certain taxpayers to go online and complete an ID Quiz confirming their identity to process their tax return.

CAPS worked closely with the ADOR Individual & Corporate Tax Division to develop a comprehensive campaign to promote awareness of this new program to Alabama taxpayers. It was essential that taxpayers understand that this program was a benefit to them and provided an extra layer of protection against ID theft and tax fraud.

OIVS // Software Development & Marketing Campaign

The Alabama Online Insurance Verification System (OIVS) was created as a method for implementing the Mandatory Liability Insurance (MLI) law that became effective on January 1, 2013. OIVS development was a joint effort of CAPS and the Alabama Department of Revenue (ADOR).

In conjunction with the development of the system, CAPS coordinated a state-wide, two-phase public awareness campaign. Phase I of the campaign ran from September 2012-October 2013, and Phase II ran February-December 2015. We used easily recognizable graphics that mimicked traffic signage and commercials that depicted real-life situations to convey messages focused on the economic, social, and legal impact of the deployment of OIVS.

ONE SPOT // Marketing Campaign

The Optional Network Election for Single Point Online Transactions (ONE SPOT) tax filing system was designed and implemented by the Alabama Department of Revenue (ADOR) pursuant to the passage of SB 459 in May 2012. It allows companies doing business in Alabama to pay sales, use, and rental tax for all cities and counties and the state through the central My Alabama Taxes portal.

Because the system is optional, the benefits of using this system must be made clear to Alabama business owners and companies. To accomplish this, CAPS worked with ADOR on a highly targeted publicity campaign. By using simple images and slogans, CAPS promoted the ONE SPOT system as a convenient, time-saving tool for business owners across Alabama, allowing them to focus on business development instead of administrative red tape.
